Who Should Apply

For Growth Brands in Hong Kong, the GBA and Overseas Markets

Extraordinary Branding Awards is designed for enterprises and startups with a brand foundation seeking cross-border expansion, overseas showcase, media exposure or institutional resources.

Eligibility

The 2026 edition was open to operating companies in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. Detailed 2027 eligibility will be updated on the annual preview page.

Application Groups

Enterprise Group is for mature brands established for five years or above; Startup Group is for brands under five years with growth potential.

Six Enterprise Tracks

The six tracks apply to the Enterprise Group only. Startup Group is reviewed as one broad track without sub-classification.

Enterprise applicants organise submissions under six industry tracks. Startup Group has no sub-track and is reviewed as one broad track. Startup Group Is One Broad Track With No Industry Sub-classification

For brands established for less than five years with innovation model and growth potential. Judges focus on team capability, problem and solution, product maturity, early market validation, business model, scalability and social or industry value.

Food & Beverage / Retail

For restaurant brands, food products, consumer retail, chain stores, online/offline sales and local specialty products. Evidence may cover supply chain, product quality, store or channel model, customer experience, repeat purchase and brand recognition.

Internet Technology

For digital platforms, software services, AI, data applications, e-commerce, fintech, martech and online services. Evidence may cover product maturity, technical capability, user adoption, compliance arrangements and commercial traction.

Smart Manufacturing

For manufacturing, hardware products, automation, industrial technology, smart factories, supply chain and quality management. Evidence may cover process technology, standardisation, production capability, quality control, delivery stability and R&D capability.

Professional Services

For consulting, branding, marketing, PR, design, legal, accounting, HR, education, enterprise support and other service providers. Evidence may cover professional qualifications, service process, client cases, delivery quality and long-term collaboration capability.

Biotech / Healthcare

The secretariat organises submitted materials by purpose. Judges mainly review brand declarations, cases, videos, photos, media coverage and relevant supporting evidence.

Is the award application free?

Extraordinary Branding Awards 2026 applications were free, but entries and file supplements closed at 23:59 on 31 July 2026.

Can I apply before my deck or video is ready?

2026 applications have closed and no new applications or supplementary files are accepted. Follow the 2027 preview for future application announcements.

What is the deadline?

The enterprise / brand application and file submission deadline is 31 July 2026, 23:59 Hong Kong time. Free awards ceremony guest registration has been extended to 14 August 2026 and should be completed on the separate ceremony page.

How should Enterprise applicants choose a track?

Enterprise applicants may choose Food & Beverage / Retail, Internet Technology, Smart Manufacturing, Professional Services, Biotech / Healthcare or Commercial Real Estate according to their main business. If the company spans several areas, choose the one that best represents main revenue, core product or brand value; if unsure, select “Undecided / secretariat to advise”.

Do Startup applicants need to choose a track?

No. Startup Group is one broad track without industry sub-classification. Judges focus on team, solution competitiveness, market validation, growth model and cross-border potential.

What does the judging framework focus on?

Enterprise Group focuses on professional depth, brand influence, cross-border capability and social responsibility. Startup Group focuses on team and execution foundation, solution competitiveness, and market or cross-border potential. Applicants should use decks, cases, product or service materials, media coverage, videos, photos and other evidence to support these areas.

Which documents will judges see?

Judges mainly review brand cases, declaration materials, product photos, media coverage and relevant supporting evidence. Contact and administrative information is handled separately by the secretariat.

What file formats are accepted?

Brand declaration files should be PPT, PPTX or PDF. Supporting materials may be PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, PNG or WebP. Videos should preferably be MP4 or MOV. Large videos may be submitted as links first and provided later if requested.

Are award application and guest registration the same form?

No. Award entry and guest registration are separate journeys; 2026 award applications have now closed.

Can I apply for the award only?

During the 2026 entry period, enterprises could enter the awards without joining an exchange tour. Applications for this edition have now closed.
